The Chameleons

On 2 December 2026, The Chameleons will take over the Rockhal in Esch‑sur‑Alzette. Formed in the early 1980s on the outskirts of Manchester, the band early on honed a post‑punk signature built around broad, melodic guitars: pronounced basslines, echoing motifs, and a taut vocal that establishes a dark yet precise atmosphere. Script of the Bridge, What Does Anything Mean? Basically and Strange Times set these foundations between indie rock and new wave, with songs structured in a direct manner.

After splitting up at the end of the 1980s, Mark Burgess revived the name from 2000 onward and returned to touring with various lineups.
