Brooklyn’s Digable Planets touch down in Toronto on July 10, 2026 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. The trio — Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler, Craig “Doodlebug” Irving and Mary Ann “Ladybug Mecca” Vieira — carved out a jazz‑rap lane built on warm samples, supple drums and conversational flows. Their debut Reachin’ (A New Refutation of Time and Space) set the blueprint with the Grammy‑winning single Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat). A year later, Blowout Comb pushed into denser textures and lyrics rooted in Black movements and everyday city narratives.
