Véronique Sanson

Véronique Sanson will be at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne on October 10, 2026. A singer-songwriter and pianist, she has shaped a French songbook infused with pop and rock, nourished by her back-and-forths between France and the West Coast. On stage, her piano—often white—remains the anchor of a set that alternates taut ballads and more uptempo numbers, supported by a sympathetic band, backing vocals and arrangements that lean toward soul, jazz and soft rock.

The concert unfolds a repertoire that has marked several generations, from the early tracks of Amoureuse to the Californian hues of Vancouver and Hollywood, through the eras of Sans regrets, Plusieurs lunes and Dignes, dingues, donc…. The lyrics, direct and personal, address relationships, separations and everyday life, with a clear songwriting that privileges the vocal line and the piano melody.

Conceived as a journey through her various studio periods, this live performance highlights keyboard work, carefully crafted harmonies and an immediately recognisable voice, all serving songs that take hold without unnecessary effects and gain their full dimension in the band’s energy.
