In 2012, Didier unplugged his electric guitar to devote himself to more “cerebral” shows, basically to pass himself off as a credible artist to a certain segment of the champagne-left, namely France Inter. Since that maneuver produced mixed results, he decided, on his mother's advice, to put a rock band back together, because it's intellectually more relaxing for him and, consequently, more accessible to the poor, who are by far the majority of the audience in our country.
In addition to his musicians, you'll see him accompanied by three female singers—not because he thinks it's important to honor gender parity in contemporary music, but, as he puts it: 'A way not to get your balls busted by feminists is to be their boss.'
