Formed in Whitburn (West Lothian), the quartet honed its sound in late‑2010s British indie: direct songs between indie and pop‑rock, nervy guitars, a compact rhythm section and vocals with a distinct Scottish inflection. Live, The Snuts favour tight arrangements and collective energy—hooks and choruses clearly conceived for the stage.
The set draws on all phases of their career: W.L. (2021) pairs edgy tension with accessible melodies; Burn the Empire (2022) delivers greater force and a rougher edge; Millennials (2024) opens the production to poppier and electronic textures without abandoning the foundation of guitar, bass and drums. In Cologne, driving riffs meet melodic refrains and dense grooves—concentrated British indie‑rock songwriting, played as a band, not as a showpiece.
