Info
On October 3, 2026, at the Théâtre Beanfield in Montreal, Jacob Collier stages the hybrid universe that brought him to prominence. A multi-instrumentalist and singer born in London in 1994, he first became known for polyphonic cover videos in which he layered voices and instruments. Since then, with In My Room (2016) he laid the foundations of a largely self-produced practice, extended by the Djesse cycle (2018–2024), which traverses chamber music, orchestral textures, electronic pop, and formats closer to the song form.
On stage, this research becomes a balancing act: dense harmonies, shifting meters, vocal layers that answer one another, intimate keyboard passages, followed by collective sequences with his band. Collier moves between jazz, pop, and R&B, switches from one instrument to another, and weaves vocal architectures that have become a hallmark of his concerts. Between collaborations with Herbie Hancock and Hans Zimmer and his solo projects, he assembles a precise and mobile live show designed to let his studio arrangements breathe within the space of the hall.
