On 27 October 2026 at Festsaal Kreuzberg in Berlin, Angine de Poitrine will bring their instrumental universe to the stage. The duo from Québec – Klek and Khn de Poitrine – moves between experimental rock, math rock, angular post‑punk and a repetitive logic that recalls techno. Their pieces grow from layering and subtracting short motifs: taut, pulsing drums drive things forward, while microtonal lines from a double‑neck guitar interlock above; chromatic figures create subtle tensions that fracture into asymmetric structures. Without vocals, the focus is entirely on movement, variation and rhythmic displacement. The result is precise, raw and physical, with a hypnotic pull that gets heads nodding and bodies moving. With Vol. 1 (2024) Angine de Poitrine mapped out their language; live they sharpen it further as patterns swell, tip over and reappear — rock ’n’ roll as the engine that pushes the machine forward.
