Celtic Legends

Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary and takes to the stage at the Colisée de Chartres on 10 February 2027. The Irish company returns with a new production that restores the dialogue between percussive footwork and live music to the forefront. Dancers, musicians and singers link ensemble tableaux and solos drawn from a repertoire of reels, jigs and ballads, with the characteristic sway between a driving pulse and more lyrical moments.

Choreographies by Jacintha Sharpe craft a stage-ready vocabulary, supported by an ensemble of five musicians under the direction of Sean McCarthy. Uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar provide the tonal colour—without backing tracks or artifices—for a direct acoustic sound. Performed entirely live, the show plunges into the heart of Irish dance as imagined by Celtic Legends, between collective energy, precise footwork and musical phrasing, to mark a quarter century of onstage history.
