8°6 Crew cultivates another facet of the Jamaican spectrum. Formed in the Paris region around the same period, the collective balances the dryness of ska, the measured tempos of rocksteady and straightforward melodic writing. The horns sketch the themes, early reggae provides the foundation, with a commitment to the historic forms of rude boy and skinhead reggae.
