On September 15, 2026, at The Black Lab in Wasquehal, Allegaeon arrives with The Ossuary Lens, their seventh album and the first since Ezra Haynes’s return after he had left following Elements of the Infinite. The band pushes its “melotech” — a melodic and technical strain of death metal — fueled by lyrics with scientific overtones. Sharply honed guitars, rhythmic precision, and a regained vocal timbre promise a taut set with clear intentions.
Gorod presents The Ember Gone, recorded at Bud Studio by Mathieu Pascal. The Bordeaux quintet accentuates its progressive side, blending virtuosity, finely carved arrangements, and broader atmospheres in the vein of Transcendence. A body of work rooted in the present and conceived for the stage, where the subtlety of the structures meets the impact of the riffs.
Abysmal Dawn completes the bill. After Phylogenesis in 2020, the band followed up with the EP Nightmare Frontier in 2022, comprising unreleased material, a reworking of the demo Blacken the Sky, and two covers that broaden its scope. Their approach to technical death metal—direct and no-nonsense—sets a solid framework and prepares the ground for an intense evening.
