daoud, a Franco-Moroccan trumpeter, producer and composer, unfolds a jazz that defies categorization and embraces a subtle off-kilter quality. On stage he brings together sonic clashes and caresses, irony and integrity, steering his own compass between lyrical restraint and sudden flashes of brilliance. On 29 May 2026 he takes the stage at the Espace des Arts in Les Pavillons-sous-Bois with his band to give form to ok, an album released in 2025 on ACT, conceived around falling, repetition and the stubborn necessity of starting again. His trumpet carves through the material while allowing vulnerability to surface, and the group sustains an unrelenting tension.

Beyond the music, daoud also builds images — a visual universe that embraces the fissure, provocation and a return to childhood as a field of exploration. His project has already travelled from Ronnie Scott’s to the Montreux Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival, even as he composes and produces for other artists. At the Espace des Arts one encounters a performance that bends the rules more than it follows them, driven by a raw and free imagination.
