La Ruda

On December 3, 2026, at the Pacbo in Orchies, La Ruda returns to the stage with what it does best: an edgy fusion of rock and ska driven by prominent brass and direct vocals. Formed in Saumur in 1993 under the name La Ruda Salska, the group forged its identity on a collective, fast-paced sound and then honed its songwriting across its records. From Le Prix du silence and L’Art de la joie to Passager du réel, the lyrics gained breadth, before a rockier turn with 24 images/seconde. The trajectory continued with La Trajectoire de l’homme-canon, an acoustic detour on Les Bonnes Manières, followed by Grand Soir and Odéon 10-14. Fronted by Pierrot on vocals, the band plays on contrasts between ska rhythms, cutting guitars and melodies carried by trumpets and trombones. On stage, the ensemble’s energy and the dynamics of the arrangements remain at the core of their offering, with a repertoire that spans their different periods without forsaking the festive momentum of their beginnings. An evening that brings their songs back into contact with the public, in a format designed for live performance.
