The Young Gods

On 22 May 2026 at Le 106 in Rouen, The Young Gods unfold their sonic laboratory on stage. Born in Fribourg in the mid-1980s around Franz Treichler, the band turned the sampler into a fully fledged instrument, weaving industrial textures and almost orchestral dynamics. From the early days of their self-titled album and L’Eau Rouge through the turns of TV Sky and Only Heaven to the slower, more immersive landscapes of Data Mirage Tangram, their trajectory traces an arc between experimental rock, ambient, industrial and electronic music.

On stage, the trio stacks loops, sampled riffs and heavy pulses to construct pieces that rise progressively, balancing tension and release. Treichler’s voice is supported by organic keyboards and grainy pads, all set within a hypnotic groove. There is no frozen nostalgia: the repertoire circulates and transforms, allowing rough edges and contemplative passages to coexist. A concert conceived as a passage, precise in sound and vibrant in momentum, where one hears several decades of experimentation without losing sight of the present.
