Wafande

Wafande brings his blend of reggae, urban pop, soul and a touch of dancehall to Portalen in Greve (Denmark) on October 23, 2026. Rooted between Denmark, France and Africa, he built his sound in the early 2010s with Danish lyrics carried by supple rhythms, pop hooks and a reggae-influenced flow. He first broke through in 2011 with Gi' Mig Et Smil, followed by tracks like En Anden and Uartig, laying the groundwork for a style that moves easily between songcraft and groove.

That balance took shape on the album Nyt Land (2014), where Caribbean inflections meet contemporary production, then on the EP Grand Danois (2015). The Black Dylan project with producer Nuplex opened another lane, keeping the mix of reggae, soul and urban aesthetics while widening the palette.

On stage, expect a groove-led set that connects the early hits with newer cuts, switching from laid-back bounce to airy melodies and tight, catchy choruses. Danish vocals, warm phrasing and rhythmic precision do the talking, with arrangements that leave space for the pulse and the refrain. A night built on feel, movement and songs that stick.
