D'jal « En Pleine Conscience »

D’Jal returns to the stage with En pleine conscience, his new show, on January 7, 2027 at the Dôme in Mutzig. A comedian with precise delivery and a keen sense of character, he reopens his notebook of iconic figures, including the famous “Portuguese,” and delights in playing with accents across everyday scenes. Between embodied sketches and improvised digressions, he weaves a thread where observations of the world intersect with personal anecdotes, in a format more intimate than his previous outings. The performance oscillates between stand-up and situational theatre, with a fluid shift from one role to another. D’Jal seeks the balance between storytelling and direct exchange, letting his stories breathe without losing the energy that made him known.

On the program are themes close to him: origins, family, travel, language and its misunderstandings. Cultural mix-ups become material for ensemble scenes, driven by distinct voices and precise gestures. The pace shifts, accelerates and then settles, as if to better capture the details that ring true. We find his long-running characters, but also recent slices of life slipped into the course of an improvised moment. En pleine conscience returns to the core of his world: a gallery of voices, well-observed situations and writing that stays close to the audience.
