Model/Actriz arrives at La Station - Gare des Mines, Paris’s 18th arrondissement, on 9 June 2026. A New York quartet, the band works with raw, taut material shaped for live performance. Beneath a glamorous veneer darker tensions surface: abrasive guitars, repetitive bass, dry drums, and a voice that slides from spoken phrasing to screams, with more melodic lines when the pressure eases. Their approach—situated between post-punk, noise and industrial—keeps one foot in the dance-punk pulse, giving their songs a physical, frontal dynamic without unnecessary excess.
On stage, Model/Actriz concentrates energy into moments of controlled abandon. Their often-tight structures use repetition like a spring, alternating sonic friction and rhythmic surges that seize the body. Behind the impact one mainly hears a restless heart: lyrics and ruptures that attempt to express the ineffable, to reestablish a tangible link between the music and the listener.
