A Place to Bury Strangers, from New York, is the project led by Oliver Ackermann alongside John and Sandra Fedowitz. Since 2002 the band has moved between noise rock, post‑punk, shoegaze and a touch of psychedelia. From their eponymous debut to Exploding Head, then Worship, Transfixiation, Pinned, See Through You and Synthesizer, their trajectory has remained focused on a dense, physical sound: heavily saturated guitars, repetitive basslines, taut drumming and dark yet distinct atmospheres. Compact songs, a direct approach and close attention to production detail are typical of Ackermann’s work. On stage the trio plays with volume and dynamics, alternating punk impact and shoegaze textures without losing the melodic thread.
The Rare And Deadly Tour stops at Santeria Toscana 31 in Milan on 23 April 2026. Opening act Kontravoid will warm up the room before the New York band’s appearance.
