Tchotchke

On June 25, 2026, in Sala Upload, Barcelona, New York trio Tchotchke bring their bright, hook-laden rock 'n' roll, featuring carefully crafted harmonies and a clear penchant for classic pop. The band consists of Anastasia Sanchez (vocals and drums), Eva Chambers (bass, keyboards and vocals) and Emily Tooraen (guitar and vocals). Sanchez and Chambers met in high school in Los Angeles in 2014, bonded by vintage culture and bands like The Beach Boys; years later, Tooraen’s arrival completed the circle and Tchotchke was born.

Their 2022 self-titled debut, produced by The Lemon Twigs, honed the blend: catchy riffs, power-pop pianos and vocal harmonies front and center. With that repertoire they toured the United States and Europe, sharing bills with King Tuff, Broncho, The Gossip and The Makeup.

Between tours the group shaped their second album, Playin’ Dumb, again with The Lemon Twigs in Brooklyn. Recorded over the course of four seasons, it broadens their palette with richer arrangements and echoes of 1960s girl groups, as well as the distinctive pop of Harry Nilsson and Sparks. The songs have a theatrical air, ironic lyrics and exaggerated female characters that blend humor and drama, which in concert translate into tightly woven choruses, shimmering guitars and a pulse that looks to the past without losing its freshness.
