White Lies

On 28 July 2026 at Rocca Malatestiana in Cesena, White Lies bring their dark, melodic take on post-punk to the open air. Formed in Ealing in 2007 by Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown, the London trio built a sound where deep basslines, baritone vocals and sleek synths meet taut guitars. They first made a mark with Death and the album To Lose My Life... in 2009, then pushed toward colder textures on Ritual (2011) and Big TV (2013). Friends (2016) and Five (2019) kept the balance between direct hooks and shaded atmospheres, while As I Try Not to Fall Apart (2022) sharpened the interplay between punchy rhythms and introspective lyrics.

On stage, White Lies rely on solid song structures and clear dynamics, moving from moody build-ups to driving choruses without losing focus. The set draws across their catalogue, with synth lines wrapping guitar motifs and the rhythm section locking a steady pulse. In Cesena, the trio reconnects with the material that has carried them through UK and European venues, letting the contrast between bright melodies and cooler tones do the work.
