TECHNODROME X HOUSENATION: Aril Brikha [Live] + Brenda Sayuri [Live] + Fer Xplosion

Technodrome and Housenation join forces for one night:

- Aril Brikha: born in Iran, raised in Sweden and musically adopted by Detroit, he is one of the leading producers on the current scene. He began listening to Depeche Mode, Front 242 and Jean-Michel Jarre before discovering the sounds of Robert Hood and Underground Resistance.

Unable to find interest among labels in his home country, he sent a demo to Transmat, which was well received by Derrick May. The Art of Vengeance EP included the track “Groove La Chord.” The success of that track helped him release the LP Deeparture In Time.

Since his debut album, his creations have defied usual classifications: dark and light atmospheres, simple and complex rhythms, fluid and rich textures, grating and delicate sounds — sometimes serious, sometimes playful.

He blends soul and funk with a Detroit sensibility, as heard on his 12-inch featuring two tracks for Music Man and a release on Kompakt. In June 2007 he released the album Ex Machina on the British label Peacefrog. That same year he debuted on Kompakt with the 12-inch Winter EP.

- Brenda Sayuri: a Brazilian of Japanese descent, she is a multi-instrumentalist with formal training who has found her path in experimenting with new sounds through electronic music. Her approach focuses on live-oriented techno connected to club culture. Her influences include Helena Hauff, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Oliver Huntemann and DJ Hell.

- Fer Xplosion: a Madrid-based musical activist dedicated to sonic agitation, both as a DJ and as a promoter of events in venues across the capital. His style is personal and eclectic, drawing on disco, Italo, cosmic, electronic, synth, new wave, trance, techno, house and EBM.
