El Kanka

On 22 May 2026, El Kanka arrives at Industrial Copera in La Zubia. A singer-songwriter from Málaga of the most straightforward school, Juan Gómez Canca blends acoustic guitar, rumba, touches of flamenco, Latin pop and Latin American echoes. His lyrics address everyday life with gentle irony and a conversational tone that seeks complicity without overt emphasis.

Live, he works in a restrained format: guitar front and center, light percussion and sober arrangements that leave room for the words and the rhythm. Between handclaps and shared choruses, he strings together small stories, social observation and intimate ballads.

The repertoire strolls through his records, from the EP Más triste es robar to Lo mal que estoy y lo poco que me quejo, El día de suerte de Juan Gómez and De pana y rubí, and settles into more recent phases with El arte de saltar and Cosas de los vivientes.
