Oslo Gospel Choir « En stjerne skinner i nat »

Oslo Gospel Choir brings En stjerne skinner i nat to MCH Herning Kongrescenter in Herning on 28 November 2026. Formed in Oslo in 1988 by choir director and composer Tore W. Aas, the ensemble shaped a Nordic gospel sound that blends tight choral harmonies, soul influences and a pop-leaning rhythm section. This seasonal program revisits Aas’s Christmas repertoire alongside reworked hymns and spirituals, alternating English and Norwegian titles. Arrangements are built around clearly defined voice sections, call-and-response with featured soloists from within the choir, and a rhythm backing that keeps the focus on melody and text.
