Smag På Dig Selv

On 23 October 2026 at Tapperiet in Køge, Denmark, Smag På Dig Selv (SPDS) brings a lean trio setup to the stage: two saxophones out front and drums driving the pulse. Since 2018, the Denmark-based group has shaped a sound where acoustic techno patterns lock in with punk energy and references to 90s dance culture. Repetitive structures, tightly wound builds and chanted vocals place their live show somewhere between a rock concert, an electronic live set and a club performance, with the saxes carrying riffs, noise and hooks over a rugged rhythmic grid.

Smag På Dig Selv writes poetic, openly political lyrics that run inside the groove, adding a direct, physical edge. The project is anchored in live performance, with long-form pieces designed for momentum and endurance rather than radio cuts. The trio has steadily grown across Denmark’s stages, and in 2024 received a Danish Music Award in the New Live Act of the Year category. At Tapperiet, the set traces a line from hypnotic loops to sudden bursts of rhythm and voice, keeping the floor moving while blurring the borders between genres.
