Véronique Gallo « La vraie vie »

Véronique Gallo returns with The Real Life, the final instalment of her trilogy about our zigzagging lives. Far from the polished images of Instagram or Netflix, she lays out a journey of missed connections, surprises and track switches we didn’t see coming. She takes real life as a train trip: we thought we were heading straight, and suddenly we find ourselves in an old carriage, a limp sandwich in hand, running to change platforms. From this concrete material, Gallo draws an hour and twenty minutes of storytelling and stand-up, balancing observation with tenderness for our small catastrophes.

On stage, her way of addressing the audience is direct and rhythmic, supported by Jean Lambert’s staging. She returns to her blend of vignettes and confidences: mental load, the couple, work, children spilling out of the frame, and the art of improvising when everything derails. At the end of the journey, a simple question: what if the right path was precisely the one we hadn’t planned?
