Karsu

On 31 July 2026 Karsu will perform at Caprera in Bloemendaal. The Amsterdam-based singer, pianist and songwriter of Turkish background builds her live set around piano playing and a tight band, where jazz, pop, soul and Anatolian influences intersect. Her repertoire moves between original compositions and reimagined covers, often sung in Turkish and English. The set shifts smoothly from intimate ballads to more rhythmic numbers, leaving room for groove, ensemble interplay and improvisation.

Karsu made her name with early live recordings and continued to grow through albums such as Confession, Colors and the self-titled Karsu. In her recent work you hear a blend of contemporary jazz, subtle electronic accents and orchestrated pop, always with melody and storytelling in the foreground. At Caprera she brings that world together: songs that shorten the distance between Amsterdam and Anatolia, a band that gives the arrangements space to breathe, and piano playing that steers the whole.
