Thomas VDB is back with a new show, currently being written, and that’s all he needs to get back on the mic. A former rock journalist turned columnist and comedian, he has retained from his years on stage a sense of timing and counterpoint: anecdotes that veer off, deliberate digressions, and a sidelong look at the times, everyday life, and our little obsessions. Direct stand-up, relaxed pacing, and a taste for self‑deprecation, he brings his distinctive voice and a comedy that likes to wander before landing on its feet. There are no frills here: a mic, lights, a stage, and at least an hour of new jokes and ideas still being road‑tested, delivered as they come, in his straightforward and genuine manner.
