Messa

On 27 October 2026 at Le Dodu in Marseille, Messa arrive with a doom metal that navigates between ambient, jazz, psych and occult rock. Based in Cittadella in northern Italy, the quartet has forged an identity in which Sara Bianchin’s clear voice threads its way through heavy riffs, atmospheric swathes and improvised breaths. On stage the band plays with contrasts and tensions: volume dynamics, tempo slips, long suspensions that tip into denser sections, and arrangement details that are as much about craftsmanship as about the moment.

The set promises to be a journey through their four albums, from Belfry (2016) to Feast for Water (2018) and Close (2022), up to The Spin, the fourth record where Messa further refines its textures and its sense of stretched melodic motif. Gritty guitar, subterranean bass, meticulously sculpted drumming: each element serves a sonic narrative that stretches time without losing the listener. A concert conceived as a continuous experience, with careful transitions and special attention to atmosphere, for a melodic doom that relies on space, tension and immersion.
