Info
On March 19, 2026 at Wavelength, 651 Dufferin Street, Toronto, the Wavelength Music Festival + Conference lines up three artists drawn to dreamy edges of pop, folk echoes and ambient haze.
Maria Somerville threads childhood ballads into a gauzy kind of storytelling where dream pop, minimal folk and lo‑fi textures meet. Based between Dublin and Ireland’s west coast, she lets voice, guitar and distant reverb drift in slow motion. Her 2025 album Luster on 4AD leans into non‑linear narratives and introspection, extending the atmospheric pull first outlined on All My People.
Colle, the New York project of Maya McGrory, shapes glacial synths, strings and steady beatwork into elegant, forward motion. The production stays cool to the touch while her voice cuts a clear path through the mix, sketching melodies that rise and recede with a quiet tension.
Opening is Ebril, an Iraqi‑Canadian artist from Ontario whose dream‑pop leans on folk simplicity and ambient detail. After the 2025 breakout Stranger In You, she keeps exploring intimate songwriting colored by soft noise and field recordings from her time in Jordan, letting slow‑blooming pieces carry traces of movement and memory.
