K&D Kicks 30 Anniversary Tour

Kruder & Dorfmeister bring their K&D Kicks 30 Anniversary Tour to Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on September 30, 2026. Formed in early 90s Vienna, Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister shaped a downtempo language where trip hop, dub and slow breakbeats meet deep bass, jazz inflections and plenty of space. Their sets blur the line between DJ performance and live rework, layering edits, versions and subtle production touches into a patient, enveloping flow.

On stage, expect the duo’s trademark low-slung grooves, dubbed-out echoes and warm textures, with selections that nod to G-Stoned, the DJ-Kicks mix that carried their sound beyond Vienna, and The K&D Sessions, whose remixes set a template for atmospheric club music. They also fold in material from 1995, recorded mid-decade and released in 2020, which reconnects their current palette to their early approach.

Three decades in, Kruder & Dorfmeister still favor detail over excess and motion over spectacle. The tour frames their catalog as a living set of ideas: slower tempos, weighty basslines, and a feel for mood that turns the dancefloor into a listening space.
