Info
Yebba brings the Jean Tour to Vancouver on May 2, 2026 at the Commodore Ballroom. Born Abbey Smith in West Memphis, she shaped her voice in church choirs before moving to New York, where a live version of My Mind and the single Evergreen drew attention. Since then, she has moved between soul and contemporary R&B, layering dense harmonies over arrangements that nod to jazz and pop. Collaborations with Sam Smith, PJ Morton, Mark Ronson and Ed Sheeran have widened her palette and taken her to varied stages.
On stage, everything centers on the voice: phrasing that breathes, subtle rhythmic shifts, and a band that leaves space for detail. Her debut album Dawn (2021) set the tone, from Distance to October Sky, and the Jean Tour carries that balance between intimacy and groove. Expect a flow from stripped ballads to fuller R&B swells, choir-like stacks and warm keys, always anchored by clear songwriting. It’s a set built on nuance and dynamics, with a spotlight on the craft that has made Yebba one of the most distinctive voices to emerge from the current soul and R&B scene.
