Hugh Coltman continues to move between folk, blues and a jazz nourished by swing and echoes of New Orleans. A former singer of The Hoax now based in Paris, he has shifted his songwriting toward storytelling, with a voice of pronounced grain and a taste for brass arrangements. At Théâtre l’Archipel on May 13, 2026, he offers an intimate-format appointment where his own compositions meet reinterpretations of the American musical heritage, in a setting designed for closeness and musical rapport with his fellow performers.
For this date, Natascha Rogers joins the stage as a guest. A close collaborator who broadens the rhythmic range and tonal colors, she draws Coltman into a two-voice musical dialogue, between songs, acoustic textures and moments of improvised breathing. A meeting focused on singing, storytelling and collective interplay at Théâtre l’Archipel.
