The Celtic Social Club

The Celtic Social Club will be at Le Confort Moderne in Poitiers on June 5, 2026. Born out of the Vieilles Charrues festival, the collective brings together seven Franco‑Irish musicians led by drummer and producer Manu Masko. Their idea: to make Celtic legacies converse with a rock band sound. Bagpipes, strings and taut rhythms rub up against tunes from Ireland, Scotland, Brittany and Galicia as well as original compositions, in a mix that moves between rock, folk and pop, sometimes taking a sidestep toward reggae or blues. From their self-titled debut album to From Babylon to Avalon, the group has sharpened a more melodic songwriting without losing its collective momentum. On stage, The Celtic Social Club delivers precise arrangements, a propulsive pulse that carries you along, and choruses you find yourself singing without thinking. A thread of Celtic soul runs through it, and a simple wish to share a live moment where tradition becomes the raw material for today’s songs.
