Van Dik Hout & Vrienden Deel II

On 9 May 2026 Van Dik Hout will take to the stage at AFAS Live in Amsterdam for Van Dik Hout & Friends Part II. Since the early 1990s the band around Martin Buitenhuis, Sandro Assorgia, Dirk Flügge, Marcel Capelle and Louis de Wit has been crafting a recognizable mix of guitar pop and Dutch-language lyrics that feel close to home. With songs like “Stil in mij” and material from their self-titled debut (1994) through later albums such as Kopstoot van een vlinder, Vier, Een handvol zonlicht, Vandaag and Alles waar ik nooit aan begon, the group has a repertoire that stays with you.

At AFAS Live they will present that songbook anew—tight and melodic, with those clear guitars and Buitenhuis’s direct vocal tone as the centerpiece. “& Friends” creates space for special on-stage encounters and new colours in familiar songs, without losing sight of the core: songs that tell it straight and slowly work their way under your skin. Expect an evening that brings together Van Dik Hout’s different phases, from the intimacy of the early years to the more measured character of the later records, performed by a band that continues to speak its own language.
