Diggy Dex

On 11 July 2026 Diggy Dex will perform at Caprera in Bloemendaal. Under his alias, Koen Jansen has developed from the Amersfoort formation D.A.C. into a fixture in Dutch-language hip hop. As a solo artist he opts for a narrative and melodic approach: rapping in Dutch with sung choruses, compact hooks and arrangements that could come equally from pop as from hip hop. His lyrics reach for the everyday—relationships, doubts, small moments that linger—and move smoothly between spoken word and song.

Years of work come together in the set. From Verhalen vanuit de sofa (2006) and Mayonaise voor de ziel (2010), via Do It Yourself Society (2012) to Golven (2015), you can hear how his sound shifts from a traditional rap format to more song-oriented, organic tracks, with influences from folk and soul. Collaborations, including with JW Roy, have further refined that hybrid direction. Expect a focus on storytelling and rhythm, with room for melody and a range that effortlessly bridges club and pop stages. Caprera provides the setting; Diggy Dex brings the stories.
