Ilse DeLange

On 29 August 2026 Ilse DeLange performs at Caprera in Bloemendaal. Since her breakthrough in the late ’90s, the singer from Almelo has been developing her own blend of Nashville country, Americana and pop. With World of Hurt she set the tone in 1998: memorable melodies, guitars to the fore and plenty of space for the voice. After that she moved effortlessly between pop-rock and roots with albums such as The Great Escape, Incredible and Eye of the Hurricane. With Gravel & Dust she returned to a more stripped-back, Americana-driven sound, after which Changes further opened up her pop side.

On stage she brings those threads together. Expect a set that shifts between energetic songs and intimate ballads, featuring stories from more than two decades of songwriting. Early classics will sit alongside more recent material, and her period with The Common Linnets still colours the programme with a country-folk hue. DeLange sings directly and clearly, close to the audience, with a band that keeps the songs taut but light.
