Balu Brigada

Balu Brigada will perform on 24 April 2026 at Melkweg, Amsterdam. The duo from Auckland, formed by brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley, has been developing a sound since 2016 that moves fluidly between indie rock and alt-pop. After early steps with Atlantic and Warner Music Australia, they released the EPs I Should Be Home (2022) and Find a Way (2023). Their debut album Portal appeared in 2025, featuring concise songs driven by guitars, synths and rhythms that work equally well in small venues and on larger stages.

With singles like “Designer,” “Backseat,” “Politix” and “Sideways,” Balu Brigada strengthened their profile, while intensive tours across North America and Europe honed their live performance. In Amsterdam they will present a set that leans on Portal and the earlier EPs, leaving room for familiar tracks and new material. Expect a direct show in which melodies, dynamics and harmonies set the tone, and where you can hear the next step in their trajectory unfold at the Melkweg.
