Levi.Sct

Levi.Sct is the pianistic alias of German keyboardist Levi Schechtmann (b. 1999). On 18 November 2026 he performs at SPOT/De Oosterpoort, Groningen, with a recital that blurs the lines between classical, hip‑hop and house. At an acoustic grand piano he constructs a continuous set: Bach and Chopin alongside his own arrangements, motifs returning like loops, pulses that shift slowly, and arcs of tension more reminiscent of a club than a concert hall. Not virtuoso flourishes, but a focus on sound, rhythm and flow.

His aesthetic is cinematic and precise: repetition as form, melody as anchor, dynamics that breathe in long waves. He has previously played venues such as the Elbphilharmonie and Flagey, equally at ease between red plush and black-box spaces. In Groningen he brings that hybrid approach to an intimate, physical piano experience: one instrument, two worlds, united in a set that runs without pauses and in which the story comes from the keys rather than from a laptop.
