Seafret

On 31 May 2026 Seafret plays TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht. The duo from Bridlington, on England’s northeast coast, consists of singer Jack Sedman and guitarist Harry Draper. Their name comes from the sea mist over the North Sea; that coolness and sense of proximity can be heard in their blend of indie folk and acoustic pop, carried by a direct vocal delivery, melodic guitar lines and spare arrangements.

Since the first EP Give Me Something (2014) and the well-known Oceans (2015), Seafret has been crafting songs that stay intimate while growing in colour. The debut album Tell Me It’s Real (2016) established the framework; Most of Us Are Strangers (2020) and Wonderland (2023) added more texture without losing the core of voice and guitar.

Live, Seafret favour space and timing: silences, dynamics and small details allow the lyrics to land. Expect a set that places older favourites alongside recent material, with smooth transitions from fragile ballads to more muscular passages. Without frills and with a focus on story and melody, Sedman’s vocals and Draper’s playing bring the songs close to the listener. In Utrecht, that minimalist approach will have plenty of room to breathe.
