Wibi Soerjadi

On 29 August 2026, pianist Wibi Soerjadi will give an exclusive garden concert at Villa Peckedam in Diepenheim. Solo at the grand piano, in the open air and close to the audience, he will present a programme centered on the core Romantic repertoire, complemented by his own works and piano transcriptions of orchestral themes. Think Liszt, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Schumann alongside short pieces composed by him that lend the recital a personal touch.

Soerjadi grew up in the Netherlands in an Indonesian family and developed his playing at the conservatories, focusing on 19th- and early-20th-century concert literature. Since the late 1980s he has appeared on Dutch stages in recitals and as a soloist with orchestras. His recordings cover both major works from the repertoire and compact character pieces. That combination of classical repertoire, original compositions and arrangements also forms the through-line of this intimate garden recital at Villa Peckedam in Diepenheim, with the grand piano and its range of tone colours in the spotlight.
