Stuck, Accelerant, Eye Ball

On April 5, 2026 at The Garrison in Toronto, Stuck bring their Chicago-honed post-punk to the stage. The quartet’s latest album, Optimizer, their second for Exploding in Sound and third full-length, runs on a feeling of speed without control. The closing track, "gg," sketches a night drive where you’re trapped riding shotgun while a malicious stranger keeps the wheel, and that unease carries across the record: tightly wound guitars, terse rhythms, vocals that observe rather than soothe. Live, the band push that theme until the songs feel like machinery grinding forward under their own momentum, each part snapping into place with a dry, metallic bite. Optimizer looks at life inside systems that promise improvement yet feed a more efficient spiral downward; on stage, those ideas turn physical, with sharp dynamics, clipped grooves and sudden eruptions that cut off as quickly as they arrive. Stuck’s set balances new material with earlier cuts, keeping the energy lean and the focus clear.
