Hatsune Miku

On 14 November 2026, Hatsune Miku will perform at the ING Arena in Brussels. Launched by Crypton Future Media, the “singer” is both a voice bank and a virtual character: a sixteen-year-old with turquoise hair, designed by KEI, with a bright, synthetic timbre based on the voice of Saki Fujita. Around her a global scene has emerged in which producers blend J-pop, electro-pop, dance, rock and EDM, treating her voice as if it belonged to a flesh-and-blood frontwoman.

On stage, Miku appears as a 3D projection, flanked by live musicians. The show combines the energy of a concert with the visual codes of anime and the online culture from which the Vocaloid universe draws. The set draws on a wide online repertoire: tracks that have come to life via video platforms and games, remixes that continue to evolve, and songs shaped in collaboration with the community. Visuals and lighting follow the music closely and keep the pace high, from pop hooks to clubby rhythms.

An evening that makes the boundary between software, pop star and audience tangible, presented in a large-venue setting.
