Sam Roberts Band

Sam Roberts Band brings its Montreal-rooted rock to The KEE to Bala in Bala on September 6, 2026. Led by singer and guitarist Sam Roberts, the group crafts melodic songs that lean on indie instincts and classic North American rock. The project first broke through with the EP The Inhuman Condition in 2002 and the debut album We Were Born in a Flame in 2003, setting a template of taut guitars, strong hooks and introspective lyrics. The run continued with Chemical City and Love at the End of the World, before the name Sam Roberts Band marked a more collective approach with Collider in 2011.

Since then, Lo-Fantasy, TerraForm, All of Us and The Adventures of Ben Blank have broadened the palette, weaving in touches of psychedelia, more present keys and rhythms with a light pop tint while keeping a live-first energy. On stage, the band favors direct, tight arrangements and melodies that stick, balancing drive and nuance without overloading the sound.
