Goo Goo Dolls: Canada Spring 2026

On March 29, 2026 at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, The Goo Goo Dolls share the stage with Dashboard Confessional for a night rooted in American alternative rock songwriting.

Formed in Buffalo in 1986, The Goo Goo Dolls first mixed punk bite and power pop before leaning into a more melodic rock approach. Led by John Rzeznik and Robby Takac, they move from acoustic ballads to electric hooks across records like Superstar Car Wash, A Boy Named Goo and Dizzy Up the Girl, then Gutterflower, Let Love In and later releases up to Chaos in Bloom. On stage, the duo and their live band draw widely from this catalog, linking early alternative roots with more polished arrangements, built around Rzeznik’s grainy tone, layered harmonies and guitars that carry in large spaces. Dashboard Confessional, the project of singer-guitarist Chris Carrabba, began as intimate acoustic songs before expanding into a full-band format. Anchored in the emo and alternative scenes, the project favors direct storytelling, fingerpicked patterns and clean, melodic arrangements. From The Swiss Army Romance and The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most to Dusk and Summer, then Crooked Shadows and All the Truth That I Can Tell, Dashboard Confessional balances stripped-back moments with brighter, electric tension.
