On March 17, 2026, The Bronson in Ottawa hosts Evan Honer for the It’s A Long Road Tour. From Yuma, Arizona to Nashville, he writes folk-rooted songs with a country undertow and an indie sensibility. His music centers on voice and guitar, with plainspoken storytelling about daily life, relationships and departures. After sharing early tracks online, he gathered them on the 2023 album West on I-10, a set that moves between unhurried ballads and steadier, road-shaped pieces. On stage, he plays solo or with a tight group, keeping arrangements lean and letting the lyrics lead. He draws from West on I-10 alongside newer songs written on the move, between the intimacy of online releases and the directness of a room.
Joining the bill, Michal Leah brings an intimate pop approach tinged with soul. She first surfaced by posting short songs and sketches before shaping them into full tracks, and in 2023 released the EP part one. Her writing turns to love, breakups and doubt, with the voice upfront, sparse chords and soft textures that lean into a contemporary melancholic pop. Live, she favors minimal setups and close dynamics, keeping focus on melody and harmonies.
