Querbeat

Querbeat will perform at the Europahalle Trier on 28 March 2026. The Cologne brass collective arose in the early 2000s from school bands in Bonn and Cologne and has developed from street parades and carnival stages to major festival and arena shows. The band assembles a broad lineup of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, sousaphone, drums and multi-part vocals, stylistically bridging the Cologne carnival tradition, German pop culture and an urban fanfare aesthetic.

Live, dense horn arrangements meet driving grooves drawn from hip-hop and funk, accompanied by choruses that work in a choir and carry just as strongly on stage as they do on record. Their repertoire is original and in German, featuring tracks from the albums Lebenslang (2016) and Randale & Hurra (2018). In Trier, Querbeat will present a set that clearly foregrounds their brass-pop signature — melodic, rhythm-oriented and rich in movement between sectional hooks, percussion and call-and-response moments.
