orbit is the project of German producer and songwriter Marcel Heym. Between clear acoustic guitars and floating synth beds, he sings about commuting between the big city and the provinces, about restlessness and everyday life. The vocals remain slightly hazy, intimate close-ups rather than grand gestures; beats and textures keep the songs in motion. After the debut EP Perspectives (2020), orbit grew into a DIY collective with friends who take care of visuals, videos and merch. From living rooms, gardens and forests they moved on to stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and across Europe, including festival appearances, support for Parra for Cuva and their own club tour. The latest tracks reveal a darker, more electronic side without sidelining the guitar.
