On October 4, 2026, SOYUZ (СОЮЗ) will bring their finely woven sonic universe to the Knust in Hamburg. The collective from Minsk, now based in Warsaw, is led by multi-instrumentalists Alex Chumak and Mikita Arlou, joined live by Albert Karch and Igor Wiśniewski. Their pieces move calmly and precisely between jazz, folk and a savvy pop sensibility: clear melodies, intricate arrangements, and plenty of space for interpretation.
Known for "Force of the Wind," the band has expanded its range with "KROK." The album, created between São Paulo, Stockholm and Warsaw, blends Belarusian heritage with Brazilian hues; the work with Tim Bernardes and Manami Kakudo leaves subtle textures that also come through in the current set. On stage, SOYUZ condense these influences into songs that breathe and gradually reveal themselves, carried by warm harmonies and mutable grooves.
