On January 15, 2027, at K - Kabaret in Reims, Olivier de Benoist presents The Right to Happiness. The deadpan faux‑macho of French stand‑up returns with a show carved out of his favorite playground: coupledom and family life. Slightly melancholic, he tries to recharge with his loved ones. Bad idea: after a few days glued to his wife and children, his spirits plummet. Therapy sessions, relaxation, a weekend in the countryside… nothing works, until a revelation hits him like a comic epiphany: they are his source of stress.

Rather than coming clean, ODB opts for a discreet escape and lays out a thousand onstage tactics for “going to buy cigarettes” without being noticed. With the verve of a former lawyer, a mock‑arrogant tone and precise writing, he dismantles the little lies, contradictions and everyday compromises. Between well‑aimed barbs and mischievous tenderness, he sketches fatherhood, couplely compromises and the yearning to get away, turning the art of slipping out quietly into a comic manual for letting go.
