Son Mieux

On 15 November 2026 Son Mieux will bring EXIL in Zurich to life. The collective from The Hague formed around singer-songwriter Camiel Meiresonne: initially an indie-pop project, today a grown band with multiple voices. On stage, guitars, strings, keys and a dense rhythm section merge with multi-part choirs; the songs build layer by layer until the choruses are brought forward by Meiresonne's voice.

From early EPs a broader, more danceable sound emerged, nourished by disco, folk and contemporary pop — without cutting loose from their indie roots. The albums Faire de Son Mieux (2019) and The Mustard Seed (2021) mark this move toward melodic tracks that get room to breathe in live performance. For Son Mieux, interplay matters: collective dynamics, detailed arrangements and direct contact with the audience. In a club setting the band unfolds its energy up close and focused, carried by catchy hooks, choral parts and progressive build-ups that hold the set together.
