Info
On March 16, 2026 at La Boule Noire in Paris, the duo Bellboy unfurls their baroque pop like a film watched with closed eyes. Born in a small studio saturated with comics, bells and DVDs, the project sculpts its tracks like scenes linked by precise transitions and arrangements. On stage, the music moves between lyricism and synthetic pulses, with echoes of François de Roubaix and Air, and nods to Bowie and MGMT. Their new five‑track mixtape provides the backbone of the live set: “Manille” traces a clear, luminous line, other pieces play with haze and ellipsis, and “UFO,” a collaboration with Yelle, turns the dial toward more direct pop. One senses the visual imagination nourished by Moebius and René Laloux in the way textures fold and stretch, then yield to voices and choruses. Between French chanson and contemporary pop, Bellboy favors exploration and gentle ruptures, presenting a concert conceived as a continuous narrative rather than a mere succession of songs.
